Mr. Berreau is the President and CEO of Environmental Process, Inc./epi Investigations, Inc. Mr. Berreau has over 30 years experience in investigating construction failures, moisture intrusion/mold, explosion and fire losses, zoning and land use, building, fire, and housing code violations, indoor air quality problems, and hazardous material concerns in buildings and properties. Mr. Berreau is a MN Certified Building Official (MNCBO), a Certified International Code Council Building Inspector (ICC-BI), Certified Construction Inspector (CCI), Certified Construction Project Manager (CCPM), Certified Environmental Inspector (CEI), MN Licensed Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor, and MN/AHERA Certified Asbestos Designer, Inspector, Site Supervisor, and Management Planner. He is also a longtime member of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Association of plumbing and mechanical official (IAPMO), and Association of Construction Inspectors (ACI) and American Institute of Architect (AIA) Associate Member. His professional practice includes providing construction and personal injury forensic investigations in both civil and criminal matters. Mr. Berreau received his Bachelor degrees in Architecture and Environmental Design from the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota.
Mr. Langer is the Senior Architectural/Engineering Manager for Environmental Process, Inc. and epi Investigations, Inc.
Mr. Norton is the Senior Environmental Manager and Designer of Environmental Process, Inc. and epi Investigations, Inc. (epi). Mr. Norton has over 35 years experience dealing with environmental concerns, both as a consultant and as an Industrial Quality Assurance Manager. Mr. Norton is MN asbestos certified/approved to design abatement projects, write bid specifications/plans, conduct inspections, develop management plans, perform on-site project supervision, do on-site air monitoring, analyze air samples, act as the OSHA competent person, and to be an instructor. Mr. Norton is MN lead certified to design remediation projects, write bid specifications/plans, conduct inspections, perform risk assessments, perform on-site project supervision, do on-site clearance sampling, and trained as an EPA Lead Renovator with the ability to train others. Mr. Norton has experience managing, testing, evaluating, remediating industrial safety, fire/water damage episodes, and workplace environmental concerns such as OSHA Safety, fire/water damage mitigation, Indoor Air Quality, etc. Providing a wide range of services related to buildings, Mr. Norton manages and coordinates environmental projects as well as architectural/engineering building renovation projects both inside buildings and outdoors. Based on Mr. Norton's significant environmental/construction experience and understanding of building systems he assists legal representation with forensic environmental cases such as related to "Mesothelioma" cancer and other work place injury concerns. Mr. Ellavsky is the Licensed Structural Engineer for Environmental Process, Inc. and epi Investigations, Inc. Mr. Ellavsky received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Mr Nelson has over 28 years of law enforcement experience. His experience includes all types of case investigations, criminal and civil, including legal testimony. Mr. Nelson was the sergeant for the City of Le Sueur, Minnesota Police Department for over 23 years. In a pending case in the Federal System, Mr. Nelson investigated a Financial Consultant who accepted funds from clients which went towards a fictitious investment account. The fraud losses were over $250,000. Mr. Nelson has an Associated Degree in Law Enforcement from the Alexandria Technical College and graduated from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Basic Police Science Course. He is currently licensed as a Minnesota Private Investigator and remains a retired MN Licensed Peace Officer.
Our colleague and friend, Charles Lane, President/CEO of Environmental Process, Inc./epi Investigations, Inc. passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 11, 2014. Mr. Lane had over 30 years experience investigating design and construction failures, moisture intrusion/mold, and indoor air quality problems in buildings, and non-automobile accident investigations. Besides his prior experience as a property/casualty claims representative, Mr. Lane was a practicing Architect (AIA), Certified Interior Designer (CID), Professional Engineer (PE), Board Certified Structural Engineer (SECB), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) in Comprehensive Practice, and Certified Safety Professional (CSP). He was a Fellow in the National Academy of Forensic Engineers (NAFE). Mr. Lane was also a credentialed LEED AP in the Specialties of BD+C, ID+C, O+M, and Homes. Mr. Lane received his Bachelor and Master degrees from the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota.
